Royce Gracie instructed to a packed house last night at Scranton MMA  as 70+ bjj practitioners converged to learn from the source. For three plus hours Royce instructed the students on techniques made famous by his family. The seminar began with a series of standing self defense technique, the basis of Gracie Jiu Jitsu, before moving to the ground to work on guard passing and its intricacies.

After drilling technique, Royce oversaw the students as they drilled live guard passing then moved on to sparring. At the seminar’s end a number of students stood out above the rest and were promoted by the legend himself. The most notable rank promotions, Chad Rosar to Blue, Frank Alogna to Purple, and Tyler Calvey to Brown. Congratulations to everyone!
