Beginners Six Month and Under
~Monday through Thursday at 6pm, Monday and Friday at 10am
The Kimura shoulder lock was named after the Japanese Jiu-Jitsu champion, Masahiko Kimura after he used the technique against Helio Gracie in a 1951 challenge match. This technique can be applied from the top and bottom of the fight; this week you will learn it from guard since that is where you are most likely to end up against a larger opponent.
Intermediate Six Months to One Year
~ Monday Through Thursday 6pm
To be master of any given submission you must learn every counter. This week you will learn the early, late, and emergency escapes to the Kimura from the guard. This knowledge will serve you whether you are attacking or defending.
Advanced One Year Plus
~ Monday and Wednesday at 7pm, Tuesday and Thursday at 10am
The gi provides a wide arsenal of attacks foremost among them are the many cross choke opportunities. This week I will teach you how to take the basic cross chokes from the guard and combine it with the straight armlock and the triangle to create an incredibly powerful attack sequence called the triple threat. Once mastered triple threat will enable you to submit even the most skilled opponents!
